A point-to-point race also gives new swimmers a sense of security as it allows swimmers to see the shoreline at all times. The more unique aspect is that you have to start north of Indian Springs Park in Pecan Bottom Park which is about a mile up the Brazos River. Therefore, this can create an issue for spectators if they want to see the swim start and swim out. Thankfully, there is a road and walking path alongside the Brazos River to follow your athletes.
